Tim Wesselmann | System Integration Engineer
During my bachelor’s program in mechanical engineering, I paid a lot of attention to Transmission Systems (formerly Getrag). A part of my master’s program, I have completed an internship in project management for the 7DCT300 transmission. In this, I have been particularly responsible for supporting several Chinese customers, such as Great Wall Motors. I have been also the interface between the various departments, such as purchasing and testing. So it was not a purely technical position, but also involves a lot of planning and coordination, which made the work all the more exciting for me.
After my internship, I’m having a permanent position as a system integration engineer for the 7DCT300. Thanks to the internship, I could already predict what demands the job will place on me.
What’s special about the work environment is that there are a lot of young employees. I also value the way people work together, which is more than amiable. Here you’re not stuck to one task, but can always bring your own suggestions and ideas to your work, and if you want, take on responsibility very quickly.
