Gear optimization

Gear development is carried out both virtually and practically on component and drivetrain test stands and in the vehicle. Tension analyses and virtual contact pattern inspections are used to determine gear geometries including all gear-cutting adjustments to allow for the influence of all components such as the housing and bearing under load.

Simulating the production processes for gears results in problem-free reproducibility in subsequent repetitive manufacturing. Extensive test and inspection processes ensure that gear changes run quietly in the vehicle. Transmission and vehicle influences can be reliably diagnosed to enable suitable optimization right from the start.
