Automated manual transmissions (AMTs)
The automated manual transmission combines the mechanical efficiency of the manual transmission with convenience and sportiness by supporting clutch operation and gearshifting electronically or hydraulically. This gives the driver the choice between fully automatic mode and gearshifting in the style of a racing car driver.
